Mentorship
The Tidioute Community Charter School Mentorship program provides an opportunity
for high school students in grades 9-12 to explore a career or field of interest
of their choice with a mentor in the private sector. It is an opportunity for
students to “try on” an occupation and also to give mentors a chance
to share their enthusiasm about their profession with young people who have
the same interests. Program requirements:
• Applicants will be selected on the basis of student commitment to the
program, maturity, capability, interest, teacher/staff recommendations and grade
point averages.
• Students and mentors are to spend a minimum of at least 50 hours at
the work site.
• Students must produce a self reflective paper and project based on the
skills that they have learned that reflects 10 hours worth of work.
